During the modernization process in the 19th Century, many Japanese universities used models, graphs, installations, and foreign objects for education. Through observations and practices, students learned about Western theories and technologies.
These teaching tools are valuable now as our path back to history. UNIVERSITAS is curated by Taiwanese and Japanese universities to review Japanese culture and its worldview in such a changing time. The exhibition also recreates a historical classroom.
